A diverse artist who paints in many media including acrylic, oil,
tempera, pastels and watercolor, Candi was introduced to art at an early
age by her father, Royden Martin, who was a Listed Artist from Carmel,
California. She has spent a lifetime studying architectural rendering,
mechanical drawing and figure drawing.
Her
current full sheet series, "Last Light," is a dynamic watercolor series of
large florals loaded with details in a close up and personal visit with
the subject. They are so full of life one almost expects them to move in
the breeze and fill the air with a delicate scent.

flowers."

As a member of the Stanwood-Camano Arts Guild, Candi received multiple
accolades at the
5th
Annual Spring Art Show in 2007. First, her submission was chosen by her
fellow Guild members to be the poster art. Then, during this judged art
show, she was awarded both a First Place Award and an Honorable Mention in
watercolors. And finally, she was given the People's Choice Award by the
Guild's many patrons who attended this show.
